40th anniversary of Follifoot Park Disabled Riders Group

That this House congratulates Follifoot Park Disabled Riders Group on reaching its 40th anniversary; recognises the vital contribution the group has made since its foundation in 1986 to providing disabled children and adults in Harrogate and the wider area with opportunities to enjoy horse riding; celebrates the confidence, independence and wellbeing that accessible riding can provide; pays tribute to the founders, including local rider Rosie Towers, and to the generations of riders, families, volunteers, supporters and sponsors who have sustained the group over four decades; notes that around 150 volunteers now support hundreds of riders each year; commends the longstanding partnership between Follifoot Park Disabled Riders Group and Follifoot Park Riding Centre; and wishes the group every success for its 40th anniversary celebrations and many years of continued service to the local community.
