That this House recognises that childhood dementia, caused by a group of rare genetic conditions leading to progressive brain damage, remains significantly under-recognised compared to other serious childhood illnesses; notes with concern the immense emotional, physical and financial challenges faced by affected families, who often receive limited support; commends the work of Lions Clubs UK, including Kendal and District Lions, in raising public awareness through presentations and resources; welcomes the campaigning of the Scottish Alzheimer's Society for dedicated funded roles; and calls on the Government to improve early diagnosis, increase research funding, and support national recognition of childhood dementia.
