The Multibank and Coronation Hub, Scotstoun

That this House congratulates Move On, The Felix Project and Multibank Scotland on the establishment of the Multibank and Coronation Hub in Scotstoun, within the constituency of Glasgow West, the first initiative of its kind in Scotland, bringing together all three charities under one roof; recognises this innovative collaboration as a major step forward in tackling poverty, food insecurity and waste across Glasgow and the West of Scotland; notes that the Coronation Hub forms part of the Coronation Food Project, inspired by His Majesty King Charles III, and will redistribute surplus food to communities in need while helping to reduce food waste; further notes that the Multibank will redistribute surplus goods through the circular economy to individuals and families experiencing hardship, ensuring that essential items reach those who need them most; acknowledges that this unique partnership combines expertise, resources and infrastructure to deliver practical, community-based solutions to some of the most pressing social challenges facing Scotland; welcomes the support of former Prime Minister and President of Multibank Scotland, the Rt Hon Gordon Brown, at the launch of the Hub, and recognises his longstanding commitment to addressing poverty and inequality; commends all staff, volunteers and partners involved in bringing this pioneering project to fruition; and wishes the Multibank and Coronation Hub every success in strengthening communities, reducing waste and improving lives across Glasgow, the West of Scotland and beyond.
