That this House congratulates WestFest on its continued success as one of Scotland’s largest community-led cultural festivals; notes that every June this festival brings together local organisations, artists, community groups and residents to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and diversity of the West End of Glasgow, in the constituencies of Glasgow West and Glasgow North; recognises the significant contribution made by volunteers, creative practitioners and community partners in delivering an extensive programme of events, performances, exhibitions and educational activities; further notes that since its establishment in 2022 WestFest has attracted hundreds of thousands of attendees and provided valuable opportunities for community engagement and local economic activity; commends the festival’s commitment to accessibility, inclusion and cultural development; and wishes all organisers, participants and visitors every success for this year’s festival and for all future editions.
