That this House congratulates the Ballygowan Pipe Band on the celebration of their 80th anniversary with a parade on the evening of Saturday 30 May; recognises the continued local success and cultural impact of traditional pipe music; commends the Ballygowan Pipe band as one of six bands still playing the traditional Brian Bora pipes, continuing the preservation of a rare instrumental tradition; and wishes the Ballygowan Pipe Band continued success as they continue to promote and preserve traditional music for future generations.
