That this House notes severe delays and administrative failures in the Civil Service Pensions Scheme following the implementation of the McCloud remedy; recognises that rectifying the unlawful age discrimination in the 2015 reforms has created significant complexity but that this does not excuse the prolonged backlogs, poor communication, and missed payments; further notes the sharp rise in complaints and declining service performance; expresses deep concern that many long-serving civil servant constituents such as prison officers, forensic scientists, and border force agents are left without timely access to pensions they have earned; therefore calls on the Government to urgently restore service standards, clear outstanding cases, improve transparency and communication with scheme members, and ensure that those approaching retirement or facing hardship receive priority support; and believes civil servants, some with decades of public service, deserve a pension system that delivers certainty, dignity, and fairness, not delay and distress.
