Whitelees Primary and Nursery School inspection

That this House acknowledges the recent inspection of Whitelees Primary School and Nursery, in which the school was graded “very good” and the nursery “good” by His Majesty’s Inspectors of Education; notes that inspectors highlighted the strong, vibrant and nurturing culture across both settings; recognises the commitment, enthusiasm and high standards demonstrated by children, staff and leadership; further recognises the highly effective leadership of the headteacher, supported by principal teachers, in fostering a positive and purposeful ethos with clear expectations; commends the exceptionally responsive staff who ensure that children feel safe, valued and nurtured, leading to strong engagement and progress in learning; further notes the reflective and forward-thinking approach of staff, with a clear commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning; also notes the high-quality learning and teaching, alongside strong attainment in literacy and numeracy, with children confidently applying their skills both in the classroom and in outdoor learning; and congratulates the children, teachers, support staff and wider community of Whitelees Primary School and Nursery, Cumbernauld, on this positive report.
