That this House celebrates the reopening of the Lower Laing Museum in Newburgh, Fife, following its extensive refurbishment; notes that the museum, first established in 1896, has been an important custodian of local heritage for 130 years; recognises the efforts of volunteers, community groups and supporters who have worked to preserve and revitalise the collection; acknowledges the significance of the museum’s new displays, which highlight Newburgh’s industrial, social and cultural history; welcomes the renewed opportunities for education, tourism and community engagement that the reopening will bring; and wishes the museum every success as it begins this new chapter in its long-standing service to the people of Fife.
