That this House recognises the growing problem of litter in public spaces across the United Kingdom and the burden it places on local communities, councils, and the environment; notes the valuable work being carried out by community groups and parish councils, including Bray Parish Council in Maidenhead, which has invested in improved litter infrastructure and organises regular community litter picking initiatives to keep local areas clean and presentable; believes that such local efforts deserve national recognition and support; calls on the Government to work with Keep Britain Tidy and other relevant organisations to launch a new national campaign to reduce littering, promote civic pride, and support community led efforts to maintain clean public spaces; and further calls on the Government to provide dedicated funding and resources to help local councils and community groups expand and sustain their litter reduction work.
