Government contract with Palantir Technologies
Tabled 11 February 2026 by Apsana Begum
That this House notes that the Ministry of Defence signed a contract with the US firm Palantir in December 2025 worth £240,000,000, by direct award and without tender; further notes that whilst the decision may be justified under the Procurement Act 2023, there is significant public interest in how this decision was made and who was involved; believes in the importance of protecting the UK’s interests at home and abroad; further believes in the importance of upholding ethics in procurement policy and democratic values in all the work of the Government and public services; is concerned about reports of serious allegations of complicity in human rights violations and the undermining of democratic processes made against Palantir Technologies; is further concerned about the need to protect the interests of NHS patients under Palantir Technologies’ existing NHS data contracts; supports calls for full transparency; and calls on the Government to publish all material and records relating to the December 2025 contract award decision.
