That this House remembers with sadness the atrocity carried out on Remembrance Sunday, 8 November 1987, in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, when a bomb exploded during a service of remembrance, resulting in the murder of eleven people, with a twelfth victim later dying from injuries; highlights that no individual has ever been convicted for the murders arising from this attack and acknowledges the renewed calls from victims’ families and their representatives for legal action and a full examination of the circumstances surrounding the bombing, particularly in light of new information and investigative reporting that has come to light in recent weeks; and underlines that the legacy of those who lost their lives in Enniskillen will never be forgotten, and that their memory continues to strengthen the fight for justice and the resolve to oppose terrorism in all its forms.
