That this House celebrates the historic and continuing role of Courts Leets in fostering civic pride, preserving local customs and supporting community life across the United Kingdom; recognises the valuable contribution they make in maintaining ancient traditions and encouraging charitable and voluntary activity; acknowledges in particular the long and distinguished histories of the Alcester Court Leet and the Henley-in-Arden Court Leet in the constituency of Stratford-on-Avon; congratulates Tracy Parkes on becoming the first woman to hold the office of High Bailiff for the Alcester Court Leet; congratulates Elaine Field on becoming the first woman to hold the office of High Bailiff for the Henley-in-Arden Court Leet; and commends their civic service and achievement as an important milestone in the evolution of these historic institutions, inspiring greater inclusion and participation in civic and community affairs.
