That this House notes with great sadness the passing of Peter Gow, a true stalwart of the shinty and Highland sporting community, who served as a player for Caberfeidh and Lochaber, and later contributed as a coach, committee member, and president at Inverness Shinty Club for 30 years; recognises Mr Gow’s unwavering dedication to and passion for shinty, particularly his long-term support for the Women’s Camanachd Association and his role as sponsor of the Valerie Fraser and Challenge Cups; honours his legacy as a generous and warm-hearted ambassador for Highland sport, celebrated by clubs and fans alike as a true gentleman who enriched his community both on and off the pitch; and expresses deep condolences to his wife, Dot, his family, friends, and all who knew him who greatly mourn his loss.
