That this House celebrates the remarkable achievement of Dean Pritchard from Bangor, who won two gold medals at the Irish Taekwon-Do Championships in Limerick, becoming a double national champion in the patterns and sparring categories; recognises Dean’s inspiring journey in Taekwon-Do, having started the sport at the age of 20 and progressing to a third-degree black belt; commends his dedication to the community through teaching Taekwon-Do for over a decade and establishing Elite Taekwon-Do NI at the Aurora Leisure Centre earlier this year; further acknowledges the success of one of his students, 10-year-old Kristians Frisbergs from Newtownards, who also secured a gold medal in patterns in the blue belt division; applauds the efforts of all competitors in a tournament featuring over 1,200 participants from six nations; and wishes Dean and his students continued success in their endeavours, inspiring young people across North Down and beyond.
